Description

It's time for a tea party with some Lavender and Honey French Macarons. For this still life photograph, I used my Violette German china, and poured a cup of green tea to drink with these delicious desserts.

I found these macarons at a wonderful bakery in central Pennsylvania. I tried to make these many times, but failed miserably.

French macarons are not to be confused with coconut macaroons. A macaron is a meringue-based sandwich cookie made with almond flour, egg whites, and confectioners' sugar. They are made in a variety of colors and flavors.
